Name: Ookami Midori
Alias: N/A
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 115 pounds
DoB: August 7
Village: Konoha
Chakra Nature: Suiton (Water)
Rank: Genin
Position: Squadmate; Ookami head family second child and heir to the family guardianship
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Special Abilities: Ookami-Wolf transformation/Summoning Wolves (learning)
Sensa-yajuu - "beast sensor"
hauringu hen'i - "Howling Transmutation" Kekki Genkai (learning)
Fighting Style: Midori fights without any weapons, preferring her hands and feet. Much like her brother Hiro, she's a taijutsu expert with no talent in the field of illusions. However, unlike most Ookami, she seems to have set the idea of a dominantly offensive style in favor of a largely defensive one supplemented by ninjutsu. At the moment, that's limited to using Shunshin no Jutsu to disappear and reappear between strikes, tackles or interceptions, but there will be more in the future.
Weaknesses: No skill with or against Genjutsu, only of average power without ninjutsu, gradually draining on chakra, requires enough time to make the seals[/ul] (genjutsu, only average without supplemental ninjutsu)
Appearance: Midori stands at 5'2", with a weight of 115 pounds. Her hair and eyes are green, which inspired her father to choose her name. Her skin is fairly pale, moreso than is typical of her clan, since she does a lot of her training inside or in the shadows. Her hair is cut to a shaggy bob cut of sorts, though it's rather wavey and a bit curly.
In preparation for the day she starts transforming, Midori had to forsake more "normal" clothes for a loose, slightly stretchy red coat with a hood, a white shirt that's a few sizes too large, and black pants with the same slightly stretchy fabric--no shoes. Her headband is loosely tied around her forehead. Additionally, she keeps a fur half-skirt of sorts tied around her waist, made from the boar she slew with Hiro. The half-skirt reaches half-way down her calves, and has pouches hanging off either side at the waist, which hold her tools.
Personality: To all outside appearances, Midori probably comes across as a slacker, or someone who doesn't deserve the position she's set to inherit. On a bad day, she might even agree, but really, Midori's just not that bright with ninja arts. Because of this, she feels a lot of pressure about letting people down. Ever since she found out about her late older brother, Hideo, she's felt like she had to do better-had to make sure she didn't betray the clan's trust. Despite that, she can't fully wrap her head around all that being a ninja requires.
In her free time, though, Midori tries to relax and have fun. Friendship is still important to her, and she needs an escape from the pressure and frustration of training. She doesn't have many friends now--she had to break contact with the few she'd made when she left for her five-month training, and since then most of them grew apart. She doesn't really know how well she can do as the heiress to the guardianship of her clan, or even if she really wants to, but it feels like her only option.
History: Born of bloodshed and the grief of a broken family, Midori of the Ookami clan was born shortly after her brother, Hiro. Their mother's corpse was cooling on the forest floor, their elder sibling Hideo soon to join her. It's not known why he helped deliver them before his end, nor why the late Mrs. Ookami had gone out to fight him despite such a heavy burden--perhaps we'll never know. Perhaps it's better that way.
The head of the Ookami clan, one Ookami Giro, had lost his wife and son, but gained a second son and a daughter at the same time. Once he'd buried his wife and son, he threw everything into raising his children--raising them right. He wouldn't let something like that happen ever again. He wasn't the only one who wanted to avoid a repeat, and the others weren't so interested in keeping quiet about Hideo's treachery--several dead, including his own mother, and more wounded. Midori could see the pain on their faces as they remembered it, and it was then that she made a decision: She'd never let the clan down like that. This decision was put to the test when Midori and Hiro joined the Ninja Academy. No matter how much she threw herself at the training and studies, she was having a hard time wrapping her mind around it. Her teachers ended up giving her detentions for sleeping in class when she forced herself to stay awake, and even then she barely managed. For some reason, even though she knew she couldn't stop trying, she couldn't focus on this ninja stuff either.
Things just got worse when Giro said they'd be taking the exam early so they'd have time for their coming-of-age hunting trip. Suddenly there wasn't even time to relax--she had to make the passing grade, or she'd be a disappointment to everyone, herself included. She pretty much disappeared for the last two or three days before the exam, arriving suddenly just a few minutes late. She managed to pass, though it wasn't anything remarkable. The very next day, Giro, Hiro and Midori left to disappear into the forest for five months. Survival, combat and stealth training all rolled into one. Midori had it rough, but hid the difficulty behind a smile and a habit of wandering off to do extra training alone. The others might've noticed--extra cuts and bruises that they hadn't made were showing up every so often, but she wasn't showing any sign of slowing down either. It was the survival stuff she picked up on most easily.
A couple of months into the training journey, Giro announced that it was time for them to begin the hunt. Every member of the Ookami clan went for a hunt on their twelfth birthday, and the first thing they killed would be turned into something to mark that they've become an adult. Hiro and Midori went out hunting together--at first, it was going to be a contest to see who could get the bigger prey, but that went out the window when Midori saw something coming from the side--a wild boar charging at Hiro from the side. Something snapped into place in Midori's mind, something instinctual--before she knew what she was doing she'd not only performed Shunshin no Jutsu (which she couldn't figure out until then), but she'd flipped the boar upside down. She'd used the beast's own momentum with the speed of her charge to help Hiro to overturn it and lay it down on its back. Hiro struck the final blow, and after some discussion they agreed to share credit for the kill and return to camp.
Finally, after a full five months into the training, Midori and Hiro were ready to come back to Konoha. It was time for them to get their team assignments, and from there... well, who knows? She'd used the time figuring out how to control her movement while using the extra force of Shunshin no Jutsu, and using it to enhance her speed in combat. Their training was put to the test quickly
At the time of team assignments, she's only able to use it with some distance between herself and the opponent, and if she gets any closer it's obvious what she's going to do anyway.

Rp Sample: Midori fell out of bed, startled by the shouting outside her door. She sat up, holding her head as she looked at the offending source of noise. "Hiro, can't you wait an hour or two? It's our day off!" She sighed, standing up--despite her words, she started getting ready for the day. Day off or not, she had to be awake in case she was needed.
It was the second day after graduation ceremonies, and they still hadn't gotten their assignments. Beyond that, just thinking about the guards needing her would be enough to get her up. As she finished putting her clothes on, securing her half-skirt, she looked out the window. "So... this is where we're going now? Hm." She shrugged, then opened her door. "So, Hiro, what are you planning today?"
