Summary: Daimei continues her training, away from others, or at least that is what she believes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Play the fool all you want, reality always creeps back up on you. Daimei was no stranger to this truth. as often as she would end up in fights with others, the end result was her on her own. It was within the training grounds that she could be found, as it was every night that came to pass. Even when many others had long given up their training and gone home to their families, Daimei was still there.
In her hands she held two kunai, their rings tied together by a length of steel wire, at least a dozen meters long. Her target was at least twenty meters in front of her, a standard wooden training dummy target. This was a strange trick she was working on, she'd been trying to perfect it for some time now.
The Genin dashed forward, almost immediately crossing her arms and flinging the kunai out as hard as she could, throwing them past two nearby trees on her left and right, midway to the target. She'd set up a pair of rings as the targets she needed to strike for this to work.
They hit their mark with surprising accuracy, sinking deep into the bark, the wire surprisingly that in the air just ahead of her. She leapt towards it, fingers wrapping around it. The momentum carried her forward then up into the air, launching her an unnatural several meters in the air as she then reached into her kunai pouches on her thighs, dragging out four of them, her body twisting backwards in a continued roll as she focused on the dummy, flinging her arms out once, loosing two kunai that sung through the air and dug deep into the target, not entirely accurately, but she hit it nonetheless.
Her body continued to roll, her feet balancing on the wire as she flung out another two kunai, again they flew through the air, practically less than a second after the first volley, though to her annoyance they went a little wider than she'd expected. Daimei's figure hopped backwards off the wire in a very short hop as she took out two kunai, once more tossing the kunai just over the wire, these ones finding their way home, nearer the centre.
Her hands remained stretched out and she grabbed the wire, swinging herself forward, as she reached the fullest speed she could muster in that one swing, she let herself be flung up into the air again, this time towards the target, arms quickly moving to grab the last of her kunai, tearing them out and tossing them from her left hand first as she fell through the air, the last two being thrown just before she landed.
Definitely not perfect, the last ones sat at odd angles on the ground or in the base of the target. Daimei found her legs giving out under her momentarily, her left weakening first as she collapsed to that side, using her arm to catch herself, however she simply forced herself back up to her feet and slowly stepped towards the target. She needed to retrieve her kunai and start again.. She wouldn't be happy until she'd gotten more of the throwing daggers closer to the centre of the target.
And if she couldn't do it this next time, she'd simply try again and again and again until she was absolutely sure she was through for the night. It wasn't like they actually expected her home..
