Summary: Hito is hanging out on a hot suna day
Hito was enjoying a blustery, hot day in Suna. It was pretty much the same as always. There was the sun. It was blaring down on the desert. There was Hitokage, people watching. He sat on top of a wall, overlooking the villagers. He perched there like a vulture. The people were extremely interesting. There was a mother trying to get her child to come home with her, she was bribing him, saying she'd make him a treat of some kind when they got home. There was an old man trying to haggle with a shopkeeper. He seemed to think that the thing he was buying was overpriced but it seemed to Hito that it was fairly priced for the materials and time spent on it. There were children running around freely, there were adults leisurely walking around, looking at things.
Koinu crawled up onto Hitokage's shoulder. He had been hiding in Hitokage's collar but now he wanted to sit and sunbathe. That was what Koinu liked to do while Hito did almost anything. They were both pretty relaxed people, even when Hito was being odd. It was a running joke and both of them knew it. Koinu even tried to help sometimes. He was conscious of a lot more things than most lizards Hito had seen.
Hito decided he had had enough of the people watching and decided to go on his own walk through the village. He scooped Koinu up into his hands to protect him while Hito jumped down from the wall. It wasn't a very far drop for Hitokage but it was a long fall for Koinu. When he landed he set Koinu back on his shoulder and headed out into the streets. Koinu could still sunbathe while Hito walked.
They walked around for a while before they finally got a little tired. Hito got himself a drink and sat against a wall in the shade to drink it. He shared a little of it with Koinu, who was also getting dehydrated from all the time drying in the sun. People looked strangely at Hito as they walked by him. They probably thought he was homeless from looking at his tattered clothes and tangled hair. He was also dusty from being outside all day. He just shrugged it off and went back to his drink.
Someone who wasn't paying much attention to where they were walking tripped over Hitokage's legs. He gave Hito a dirty look but continued walking. Hito called out to the man, "Hey! Watch where you're going! You might hurt yourself one day!" The man grumbled as he walked away even further. He was probably talking about how the homeless should know their place and how awful it was that they had to sit in the way of people who had things to do.
