On closer inspection, instead seeing a log or other object, the user leaves behind an after-image of himself, which quickly disappates like smoke or fog. One theory is that the user's sheer speed creates an optical effect, while others contest that it is merely a form of genjutsu.

This is a modification or variation of the Clone Great Explosion. The Blinding Clone Explosion is a Shadow Clone created by the user meant for detonation. It is designed to produce a blinding flash of light and loud noise without causing permanent injury. The flash produced momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately five seconds, until the eye restores itself to its normal, unstimulated state. The loud blast causes temporary loss of hearing, and also disturbs the fluid in the ear, causing loss of balance.
Strengths:
This is a diversionary clone that can be intermixed, and is indistinguishable from regular shadow clones. As with normal Shadow Clones, it's indistinguishable from the user.
Weakness:
If not fully mastered, the clone can prematurely detonate, and may even blind and deafen the user instead. The technique is bypassed if the target somehow manages to shield his eyes and ears before the blast.

Strengths: Multiple arms counfounds the enemy.
Weakness: Sensor-types can "zone out" the fake arms.

A more advanced version of Oboro-no-ken, the user creates two to three clones, but instead of dispersing them, they share the same space as the user. Whenever the user moves, the clones movements vary slightly, making it appear as if the user has an echo. When he attacks, the bunshin attack in different ways at the same time, creating confusion as to which is the real attack. (Using a real-world movie reference, think of Mr. Smith attacking with swords)
Strengths: Confusing and disorienting.
Weakness: Sensor-types can "zone out" and effectively ignore the fakes.

Description: This is a mid-level assassination technique. After the target has been blinded (either through a Flash Bomb or a Blinding Clone Blast), the user will appear behind the target, with both blades drawn. With a quick fluid, arcing movement, the user then swings his blades simultaneously at the target's neck.
Strengths: Surprise Attack. Hard to avoid if caught blinded.
Weakness: Requires being blinded. Requires extreme precision and timing. If off by as much a second, the technique will likely not result in a killing blow.

Description:
Moon Warrior's Stance is more of a battle strategy than a specific technique. The practitioner of this stance creates several standard clones, although more adept users have been known to substitute other clone types. This technique works best when performed with Haze Clones or Mist Servants. The user then enters into combat with his clones, but the kicker is that the user and his clones constantly swap positions with Body Flicker to confuse the enemy. When striking the enemy, the user will often attack with his real self, only to flicker away at the last second, replaced by a clone. The enemy expects a real attack, and prepares to counter it which leaves himself vulnerable.
Strengths:
Due to the speed in which the user flickers, it's very difficult to keep track, and the opponent often finds himself confused and possibly disoriented. ( It's like trying to keep track of which cup the peanut is under in "the Shell Game" ).
Weakness:
Sensor-type shinobi will easily be able to spot the true version of the user. Those skilled in (countering) genjutsu can similarily decifer the real combatant by performing the necessary skills. Once the actual user is found out, the opponent has a much easier time tracking him.

Description:
This technique is a closely guarded secret, and is an advanced variation of Dance of the Crescent Moon. The user performs Dance of the Crescent Moon as normal, sending in the clones as previously established. While the enemy is distracted, the user admixes Underground Submarine Voyage into the equation, and comes rocketing out of the earth just beneath the enemies feet, weapons drawn for the (killing) blow.
Strengths:
Due to the nature of the involved earth tech, this move is an assassination technique is practically unavoidable and undetectable.
Weakness:
Sensor-type shinobi (such as those with Byakugan) can easily avoid the attack, as they will be able to spot the real target traveling underground. Unless the user has a very high chakra, creating so many clones comes at great personal risk.
NINJUTSU TECHNIQUES
Name: Doton: Chou Sekkaku [Earth Release: Ultimate Stone Burial]

Description:
The ground under the opponent buckles and wavers slightly, creating an unsteady surface and likely knocking the foe off balance. Then a column earth and rock (still underneath the opponent) rockets skyward, sending the opponent and debris flying. At the same time, a hole with a depth equal to that of the column appears appears a few feet in front of the user. The user then runs speedily up the available debris (or up the side of the column, if there is little debris). After a barrage of sword attacks, the user then grabs his opponent by the face, and plummets earthbound, toward the deep pit previously created. When the plummeting duo is just a foot or two above ground level, the heaves his opponent mightily into the hole. He then finishes off the maneuver with a clap, which serves the purpose of both closing the hole (trapping the opponent), and returning the upturned earth column back to normal.
Strengths:
Trembling of earth and subsequent earth column are very disorienting.
Weakness:
Pointless against other earth-natured shinobi, as the opponent can then likely just crawl travel back to the surface. Also, as it's a complicated maneuver, it's possible an enemy of great skill could recover while in mid-air and avoid burial.

The user performs the requisite hand seals, and then the earth in the front and rear his enemy clamps shut like a gigantic trap, forming a large cage-like shell around the enemy. This shell usually is lined on the interior with sharp barbs and spikes, which puncture the enemy from all angles, making it impossible to move. On execution of the jutsu, the user has the option creating a version of the shell that's spike free.
Strengths: Due to the close-fitting nature of the cage, there's no wiggle room, so to speak. As such, if trapped, this tech is inescapable.
Weakness: A lightning armor or other jutsu could feasibly weaken the structure, allowing the enemy to get out. Water tech, in time, could erode the cages structure. Like the Ultimate Stone Burial, this technique could also be bypassed by another earth jutsu.
